Yes. We please ask that all first time patients arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment so you have time to fill out all required paperwork. Showing up in advance will help to ensure that your appointment starts on time and stays on schedule.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

We ask that all new patients please bring the following documents with them to their first appointment:

  • Dental insurance card (if applicable)
  • Valid ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID, or military ID
  • Up-to-date copy of patient oral health history or a way of contacting your current or most recent dentist
  • Preferred method of payment. We currently accept all major debit and credit cards, along with check and cash payments.

What types of dental services do you provide?

As an experienced Powell, WY family dentist, Dr. Williams offers a comprehensive range of advanced dental care services. From routine cleanings and exams to teeth whitening treatments and the placement of dental implants, Dr. Williams provides the state-of-the-art dental care his patients require to look and feel their best.

How often should I schedule an appointment?

Dr. Williams recommends that patients schedule a dental exam and cleaning at least once every six months. However, patients with certain underlying medical conditions, who are pregnant, or who have poor oral health may need to schedule appointments more frequently as directed by Dr. Williams.

Can new patients receive a cleaning during their first appointment?

During your initial appointment, our team will take the time to fully assess the current state of your oral health. Your first appointment will typically include a full series of digital x-rays, a periodontal examination, and a comprehensive exam performed by Dr. Williams. This will provide our team with the information needed to design a custom treatment plan that meets your individual oral health needs.

While we will do our best to complete a cleaning during the first appointment, we may not be able to meet this goal with every patient. Depending on how long it’s been since your last cleaning and the current state of your oral health, a second appointment may be necessary to complete your cleaning.

I’m afraid of the dentist. How can you help?

If the idea of visiting a family dentist in Powell causes you to feel a little stressed out, know that you’re not alone. Up to 60 percent of all Americans experience some form of dental anxiety, according to the results of a recent study. Unfortunately, avoiding dental care due to anxiety deprives you of the treatment needed to protect your teeth and gums from the effects of dental decay and disease.

At Frontier Family Dental, we go above and beyond to create a comfortable and relaxing office environment where the needs of the patient always come first. If you ever feel anxious or stressed by any procedure or course of treatment, please say something and we will stop and happily talk you through any planned care until you feel comfortable and in control.
